Attorney fees

Where possible Maître MADRE offers fixed fee packages for assisting you either with advice or with an application. If it is not possible to provide a fixed fee then we will provide a clear indication of the likely fee based on an agreed scope of work.

In accordance with the internal rules of the Paris Bar, the fee charged by the firm for a given service depends primarily on the following criteria:
− the time spent,
− the nature of the case,
− the complexity and technicality of the case,
− the degree of urgency.

French Nationality :

- Certificat de nationalité française (CNF) - French nationality certificate

From 1800 euros HT to 2500 euros HT - 20% VAT to be added for EU resident

With this Application Package, I will advise you on your application process and eligibility. I will give you a list of documents to gathered and then complete and submit your form to the Pôle de la nationalité of Paris Tribunal if you are born and live abroad or to the local Tribunal in charge of your application if you are born in France or if you live in France.

- Déclaration de nationalité française - French nationality registration

Becoming French by declaration by marriage, by possession d'état or after a decision stating you lost French citizenship by non use

With this Declaration Package, I will advise you on your application process and eligibility. - Judgment in nationality matters

Taking a legal action in nationality matter before The Judiciary Tribunal of Paris (Tribunal judiciaire de Paris)

The purpose of suing is to get the court to make a decision in your favour (called ‘a judgment’) stating you are a French citizen.

From 2100 euros HT to 3000 euros HT - 20% VAT to be added for EU resident

With this Package, I will represent you in Court from the claim to the final hearing (trial)

You need to add approximatly 150 euros for judicial costs such as bailiff fees and legal stamps

- Tracking down French birth and marriage certificates

From 150 euros HT - 20% VAT to be added for EU resident

Apostille on French documents

From 250 euros HT - 20% VAT to be added for EU resident

With this Apostille Package, I will request the apostille to the service in charge depending on your document which need to be apostilled.

These expenses may be covered, in whole or in part, by your legal protection insurance.

Maître MADRE also agrees to be appointed as legal aid in matter of French nationality. A letter of acceptance, which you must attach to your application for legal aid, must be given to you by the lawyer.

Maître Julie MADRE hourly rate is 225 euros HT.

In both type of fees options, Maître Julie MADRE can propose additional fees in case of success. It could be a fixed sum or a percentage of the gains obtained or the savings made but in France it can not be the only way of calculating fees.

As is customary in the legal profession, an advance payment is requested at the opening the file, which is then deducted from the amount of the invoice issued for the case.
